This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and safeguard it, and the rights available to you. Our practices are designed to comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25). We voluntarily maintain GDPR-grade safeguards as an internal standard, but Canadian law governs this policy.

  • Browsing data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and visit duration (through analytics cookies, subject to your consent).

3. Purposes of collection and use

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Transfers outside Canada

Some of our service providers (such as Google LLC for Google Analytics) may store or process personal information on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. When personal information is transferred outside the province or Canada, it may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is stored. We take reasonable contractual and organizational measures to ensure a comparable level of protection, as required by PIPEDA and Law 25, and, where required, we conduct a privacy impact assessment before any such transfer.

7. Retention

  • Contact and quotes: kept for as long as necessary to respond to and follow up on your request, and thereafter for any applicable legal limitation period.
  • Newsletter: kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
  • Browsing data: kept according to the duration of the relevant cookies (see our Cookie Policy).

Once personal information is no longer needed for the purposes collected, we securely destroy, erase or anonymize it.

Under PIPEDA and Law 25, you have the right to:

  • Access: obtain confirmation that we hold personal information about you and access to that information.
  • Rectification: request correction of inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date information.
  • Withdrawal of consent / deletion: withdraw your consent and, where applicable, request that we cease disseminating your information or de-index it.
  • Portability: where technically feasible, receive the computerized personal information you provided in a structured, commonly used technological format.

To exercise any of these rights, email our Privacy Officer at privacy@sprintmarkt.ca. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (generally 30 days). We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, for Quebec residents, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

9. Safeguards

SprintMarkt implements physical, organizational and technological safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information, to protect it against loss or theft and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. These measures include SSL/TLS encryption, access controls and regular backups.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. We encourage you to review it periodically.
